Girls' Talk is a monthly, 20-30 minute, intimate session where 7th and 8th grade girls are given the opportunity to hear words of wisdom and encouragement from faculty members and guest speakers.  These sessions cover topics such as:  school rules, cleanliness, drug awareness, dressing appropriately, choosing friends, and exhibiting lady-like conduct.

     Each session begins with the poem, "A True Diva", written by one of our very own, Mrs. Owens, 7th grade Language Arts teacher.  This poem outlines what it takes to be poised, positive, and productive young ladies in today's society.  The poem itself exemplifies the mission of the Girls' Talk sessions, which is to guide and cultivate the young ladies of James A. Davis Middle School by assisting them on the journey of becoming strong, well-rounded DIVAS, who represent themselves well and command respect of others. 

 We also give incentives to those young ladies who are represenative of what our school represents.
